General situations requiring immediate treatment:

Pale or blue gums

Unconsciousness or collapse

Uncontrolled bleeding from any site

Bite wounds or lacerations of any size

Ingestion of suspected poison (human medications, antifreeze, cleansers, fertilizers or overdose of any prescription)

Noticable lethargy

Difficulty in breathing

Seizures

Sudden swelling of face or development of hives

Trauma from fall or any strong impact

A sudden swollen abdomen

Trouble in delivery of pups or kittens
